it was a very windy, cloudy day in rocky mountain national park, so i pulled out the nd filter to try to smooth out the moving clouds. unfortunately, the best composition i could find entailed tripod legs in the water so i couldn’t go as long as i wanted. i still love the image and contrasting textures rugged hallett peak against the soft clouds above.
