i was out in the prairie photographing a project when i happened upon these two trees - the only trees for what seemed to be forever - hence the title of the image. and so i photographed them with the mountains and a bit of a cloudy sky behind them.
black and white overall just seemed to fit this image. i’ll often use black and white to ward off the distraction that color can bring - it helps focus the viewers’ eyes on the subject or the light. and so it was with this image.
