i literally almost died taking this image, or just before i took this image. i was standing on a rotten, fallen tree looking for the “right” composition. i finally decided to hop off the log and take a closer look at what i thought to be the composition, however the log grabbed the bottom of my hiking boot and wouldn’t let go. It send me careening backwards, off-balance, headed straight for a ten foot tall rock. fortunately, my balance isn’t what it was ten years ago and i ate you-know-what before i reached the rock.

but the picture’s pretty. (at least i think so)
