Butterfly Effect

i was out in death valley national park when i saw this scene among the sand. the thing that drew me to make the image was the coming together of each of the “waves” in the sand” as the eyes move from right-to-left. it reminds me of the butterfly effect - the concept that small changes in one state can impart larger changes in other, future states. it states in more simple terms that the flapping of a butterfly’s wings can cause larger changes in its environment in the future. this theory would seem to imply that all things are connected, even those things that appear to be readily distant.
